iPhone 6 vs Samsung Galaxy S5 – Battery Life, Display, Design & Prices

If you’re thinking about buying a new smartphone in 2014, and you’re looking for top-notch products, you might be wondering whether to pick up the Samsung Galaxy S5, or wait awhile longer for Apple’s Iphone 6.
When it comes to price, the official estimates for the iPhone 6 are unknown as of yet. For the Samsung Galaxy S5 however, we can expect a price of around £540 (around $900), carrier-free, depending on the vendor. This is considerably less than what the Samsung Galaxy S4 launched with, and it’s likely to be less than the price-tag the iPhone 6 will tag along with too. In terms of availability and price, it seems the S5 is the winner of the Samsung Galaxy S5 vs iPhone 6 war.
We do know what the Samsung Galaxy S5 brings to the table though: it comes with a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen, with a 1,080 x 1,920 pixel resolution, fueled by a 2.5-GHz quad-core Krait 400 processor and Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset. It also comes in 16 and 32 GB internal memory variants, which can be expanded by up to 128 GB using a microSD card. The Samsung Galaxy S5 also comes with a 2800mAh battery, which should be enough even for its high-end hardware. According to Samsung, the Galaxy S5 can take up to 21 hours of talk-time. Additionally, Samsung also introduces some nifty features with the Samsung Galaxy S5, such as a heart-beat sensor. We’re sure Apple’s iPhone 6 will also bring innovations of its own and hardware to compete, but it’s still far away, and the technical capabilities of the Galaxy S5 cannot be denied.

5.5-Inch Can iPhone 7 Will Offer 256GB Version

iPhone fans looking for more memory capacity in their handsets may get their wish when Apple (AAPL) unveils its first “phablet” later this year, AppleInsider notes. Current iPhones are available with memory capacities of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB only, while iPads comes with 256GB configuration option. Apple is widely expected to launch its next generation iPhone in two sizes: one with a 4.7-inch screen and the other with a 5.5-inch display, Apple’s first step into phablet-sized phones. According to the new report, the 256GB configuration would only be available on the larger iPhone and is meant to add another point of difference between the two iPhone 6 models.

September 19 Launch for 32GB, 64GB iPhone 6 Models Apple may not offer a 16GB version of the new handset

Sources tell Chinese web portal Tencent (TCEHY) that the iPhone 6 will be released on Sept. 19. According to the report, the iPhone 6 will come in 32GB and 64GB versions priced at 5,288 yuan ($846) and 6,288 yuan ($1,008). The report suggests that Apple will not offer a 16GB version of the iPhone 6. An earlier report indicated that German wireless provider Deutsche Telekom (DTEGY) was bracing for the iPhone 6 launch on that date. Apple has launched new iPhones in late September since the debut of the iPhone 5 in 2012. Most analysts expect Apple to release two iPhone 6 models: one with a 4.7-inch display and the other with a 5.5-inch screen. Though reports earlier this year indicated that the larger iPhone had experienced production problems and would not launch until months after the 4.7-inch iPhone, a spate of recent rumors says that the larger iPhone will, in fact, launch alongside the smaller model this fall.
