5.5-Inch Can iPhone 7 Will Offer 256GB Version

iPhone fans looking for more memory capacity in their handsets may get their wish when Apple (AAPL) unveils its first “phablet” later this year, AppleInsider notes. A Chinese media source says that Apple will raise the top memory configuration for its 5.5-inch iPhone 6 model to 256GB. Current iPhones are available with memory capacities of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB only, while iPads comes with 256GB configuration option. Apple is widely expected to launch its next generation iPhone in two sizes: one with a 4.7-inch screen and the other with a 5.5-inch display, Apple’s first step into phablet-sized phones. According to the new report, the 256GB configuration would only be available on the larger iPhone and is meant to add another point of difference between the two iPhone 6 models.
