New report claims to reveal release date for iPhone 6 and ‘iPhone Air’

So far, we have seen two reports claim to peg the iPhone 6′s release date. The first came alongside word that Apple carrier partner Deutsche Telekom was having its call center staff contact some customers in an effort to get them ready to upgrade to the iPhone 6 once it is released, and they claimed that the phone will launch on September 19th.
Then, a subsequent report from Tencent also stated that Apple’s next-generation iPhone will hit store shelves on September 19th.
But according to a new report from China.com, Apple will change things up this year and launch its new smartphones on Thursday, September 25th.
The report claims that Apple will launch both the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5-inch model on that date, and it suggests that the larger of the two phones will be named “iPhone Air.” That moniker is hardly confirmed, of course, but it’s safe to say that Apple will not simply call it the “iPhone 6,” as blogs have been referring to it.
Finally, the report claims that both new iPhone models will be unveiled by Apple on Monday, September 15th, which seems highly unlikely.
